Windows XP Dial-Up Instructions

Configure your Computer for NU-Telecom Dial-Up Service

  1. Click on the Start button in the lower left corner of the screen
  2. Click on Control Panel
  3. Click on Network and Internet Connections
  4. Click on Setup or change your Internet connection
  5. You'll see "Welcome to the New Connection Wizard". Click Next
  6. Place a dot in the Connect to the Internet circle
  7. Click Next
  8. Place a dot in the Set up my connection manually circle
  9. Click Next
  10. Place a dot in the Connect using a dial-up modem circle
  11. Click Next
  12. Type NU-Telecom in the white box for ISP name
  13. Click Next
  14. Type the appropriate access number in the white box

    Springfield:  723-7235
    Sanborn:  648-7235
    Redwood Falls:  627-4119
    Aurelia:  434-0600
    Hutchinson: 234-6062
    Litchfield: 693-6877
    Buffalo Lake: 833-1100
    Glencoe: 864-2761
    Winsted: 485-7413
    Cokato: 286-6454
     
  15. Click Next
  16. In the Username box type your username - NOT your whole e-mail address. Use all lowercase letters
  17. Type your password, in all lower case, in the password box. Type it again in all lower case in the next box
  18. Make sure there is a check mark in the three boxes below the passwords
  19. Click Next
  20. You can place a check mark in the Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop if you want. It is not required
  21. Click Finish
  22. You should be able to connect to the Internet now by clicking on Internet Explorer or by clicking Start \ Connect To \ NU-Telecom
