Mac Mail Instructions

 

  1. Double click on the Mac Mail / Mail Icon. Once opened, go to the top menu bar and choose Mail

  2. From the Mail menu, select Preferences

  3. In the Accounts column on the left, select the account used for
    NU-Telecom

  4. Type in the following information on the right:

    Description: Type in NU-Telecom
    E-mail Address: Type your e-mail address here
    Full Name:  Your real name (if you want to be identified) 
    Incoming mail server (POP3):

    pop3.newulmtel.net (New Ulm, Springfield, Redwood Falls & Aurelia customers)
    pop3.hutchtel.net (Hutchinson and Litchfield customers)
    User Name:
      Enter your full e-mail address
        (NOT just your user name)
    Password:  Enter password (mix of letters and numbers, with mix of upper and lowercase letters) 
        (Password will only show as *****)
     

  5. Click Server Settings

  6. Under Outgoing Mail Server, type the following: 
    smtp.newulmtel.net (New Ulm, Springfield, Redwood Falls & Aurelia customers)
    smtp.hutchtel.net (Hutchinson and Litchfield customers)

  7. Make sure that Password is selected under Authentication

  8. Enter the following information:

    User Name:  Enter your full e-mail address
        (NOT just your user name)
    Password:  Enter password (mix of letters and numbers, with both upper and lowercase letters)
        (Password will only show as *****)
     

  9. Click OK

  10. Click Red Circle in the upper left
