Outlook 2007 Instructions

 

  1. Double click on the Outlook / Mail Icon. Once opened, go to    the top menu bar and choose Tool.
  2. From the Tools menu, select Account Settings.
  3. Click on email tab then click New.
  4. Put a dot infront of Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP… click Next.
  5. Put a check mark in the box infront of Manually configure server settings or additional server types. Click Next
  6. Put dot infront of Internet Email. Click Next
  7. On this menu, the following information should be typed in:

    Your Name: Your real name (if you want to be identified)
    E-mail Address: Type your full e-mail address here

    Account Type: POP3
    Incoming mail server (POP3): see below based on location:
    New Ulm, Springfield, Redwood Falls, & Aurelia customers enter: pop3.newulmtel.net
    Hutchinson and Litchfield customers enter: pop3.hutchtel.net
    Outgoing mail server (SMTP): see below based on location:
    New Ulm, Springfield, Redwood Falls, & Aurelia customers enter: smtp.newulmtel.net
    Hutchinson and Litchfield customers enter: smtp.hutchtel.net
    User Name:  Enter your full e-mail address
    Password:  Enter password (mix of letters and numbers, with both upper and lowercase letters) 
       (Password will only show as *****) 
     
  8. Click More Settings
  9. Click the the Outgoing Server tab
  10. Put a check mark in the box that says My outgoing (SMTP) requires authentication
  11. Put a dot in front of Use same settings as incoming mail server
  12. Click OK
  13. Click Next
  14. Click Finish
