You can have your long distance service through a local
company, with New Ulm Long Distance. (Available in New Ulm, Springfield and
Redwood Falls service areas only.)
Have you ever called a long distance company and been put on hold to wait and
wait? When you call us, you'll talk to a live person and easily get your
answers.
Choose from 2 rate plans:
- $0.15 per minute, with no monthly charge
- $0.11 per minute plus $4.95 per month.

Calling Cards are available to New Ulm Long
Distance customers. Easily make calls while away from home, and charges will be
billed to your home phone number.

Changing Your Long Distance
Company
To change long distance companies, just visit or call your
local NU-Telecom
office. You may also need to call the long distance company you are leaving.
Changing between long distance companies does result in a local switching
charge, up to $5.50. You may specify 1 or 2 different long distance companies,
for calls within your area code and calls outside your area code.
How About an 1-800 Number?
Let family or friends call your house without worrying about the charges. A
great idea if you have college students, young drivers, or frequent travelers.
Having a toll-free number has no monthly fee, and calls are just $.15 a minute
Residential or $.11 a
minute Business. (Not available through Aurelia office.)
Long Distance Restrictions
You can stop calls that are long distance or to 900-numbers. Block ALL of these
calls, or allow long distance calls only when the user enters a code number.
